A St John's curved screen for realistic, immersive training.
In October 2023, the Multivision Screens team travelled to Jan de Nul's head office in Aalst, Belgium, to complete the installation of a st john's curved screen.
Jan de Nul, a well-known private Luxembourg company, is one of the world leaders in the dredging sector, extracting materials from the seabed to ensure the navigability of waterways. In addition to its dredging activities, Jan de Nul offers state-of-the-art training facilities for a variety of operators and skills.
Since the screen was installed, it has been used for training maritime personnel. By providing strikingly realistic training conditions, the screen contributes to an immersive and interactive experience, optimising operators' learning. The realistic simulation allows crew members to train in conditions close to reality, improving their skills and preparation for various scenarios. This installation embodies the versatility of the st john's fixed screen, demonstrating its multiple applications and its ability to meet the specific needs of companies such as Jan de Nul.
